Lacking in lactose, it is rich in essential amino acids.
Casa del Sole Parmigiano Reggiano has a fat content that is lower than most other cheeses since it is produced with partially-skimmed milk and it is almost completely void of carbohydrates.

Furthermore, it is an important source of calcium and its ageing process makes it easily digestible.

That is why it is a part of the diets of athletes, the elderly, people who are intolerant to cows’ milk and children starting from weaning age.
